Operational Support

Turning strategy to action is all about planning and execution. Having the assets and resources to operationalise your strategy is what brings everything together and turns vision into reality. This isn’t just about competency, importantly it’s about fit. Fit for purpose.

Having the most expensive plant, equipment, hardware or software is of no value unless it serves your business. The same can be said of the various suppliers, contractors or employees you will invariably need. The whole “orchestra” has to be “in tune”.

Jim Collins in his book Good to Great uses this analogy that we at The Buro strongly adhere to:

The executives who ignited the transformations from good to great did not first figure out where to drive the bus and then get people to take it there. No, they first got the right people on the bus (and the wrong people off the bus) and then figured out where to drive it. They said, in essence, “Look, I don’t really know where we should take this bus. But I know this much: If we get the right people on the bus, the right people in the right seats, and the wrong people off the bus, then we’ll figure out how to take it someplace great.”

We can provide value beyond the global consultancies with arguably considerably better resources for a much lower cost.
